  Boom. This wine really delivered for me - when so many other 2006 Bdx didn’t. Great nose with primary (blueberry), secondary and tertiary notes. Still has a lot of dark fruits on the palate with well integrated oak notes as well as developing mushroomy notes. I loved this bottle (I liked previous ones of this wine over the past 10 years as well).

  Elegant and smooth Lalande. Mature dark berries, leather and tobacco, herbs and mineral notes. Not an easy right bank year, but well done! Drink now and over the coming 5 years.

  I loved this wine s much i bought 2 cases. i"ve been drinking it over the last 10 years and it is still improving in my cellar (55*/70%) and all bottles still have good fills well in to the neck. It is maturing slowly and not yet at its peak. I'm shocked to see the low scores on this excellent wine that i know so well for so long. i will open the next bottle today and update if there is a change. A conservative 93.

  Initially, just acceptable. 30 minutes breathing made a big difference. The nose wasn’t much improved, simple red fruit. The flavours opened up upon a lovely texture, saturated with black plum. The green tea finish became sweet and embracing.

  Slightly harsh and bitter on the palate along with the enriched dark fruits! Spicy nose with dry autumn leaves! Incredibly dark in colour!
