In the glass, the wine is a dense garnet with a hint of bricking near the rim.
The aromatics are moderately intense, tending more to the savory than fruity. I detected barely ripe cherry and brambly fruit, leather and decaying log, cedar and green peppercorn.
The palate displays medium acidity and green, slightly astringent tannin. The long finish ends with some interesting flavors of iron and bitter chocolate.
The wine definitely improved after an hour in the decanter.

By the glass. At the limit of the volatile. In addition, wood predominates in form of aromas of spices. On the palate seems more settled but neither stands out for its depth or finesse. Very simplistic. In my opinion, its time has already passed.
Por copas. Al límite de la volátil. Además en nariz predomina la madera en forma de aromas a especias. Al paladar parece más asentada pero tampoco destaca por su profundidad o por finura. Muy simplota. En mi opinión su tiempo ya ha pasado.

Wonderful! I was somewhat worried about this one given its journey from the Château through parts of Africa and then several different homes here in the States. It certainly made it just fine and it was definitely worth the wait. It made for a great pairing with prime rib for Christmas dinner. 75% Merlot, 20% Cabernet Franc, and 5% Cabernet Sauvignon.

Nose of shoe leather, violet, and dates. Brown pear, green apple, and dustiness on the palate. Lacking a little fruit.

Still some fruit in the nose, combined with typical aging characteristics
opens with decanting (1-2 hrs)
too expensive (quality-price)
