  Excellent wine. Dark and inky in color, with a spicy black-berried aroma. Spice-box and some plum and currant in the palate, along with the black-berry. A nice finish, and a rich aftertaste. Had with rack of lamb and roasted potatoes.

  Costco $17 - I think this is a second wine from K Vintners. Very dark in colour, blueberry, plum centre, very young. Intense on the nose, lots of blueberry, blackberry and currant fruit, lots of secondary aromas as well, smoke, floral and feral notes. Really quite complex and enticing. Cherry plum sweetness at first on the palate, a little hollow in the middle, but with nice juicy blueberry and pomegranite finish. Interesting minty, currant, slightly tart finish. Really rather good. 88+
  
  Drank the rest of the bottle about a week later. This got better and better. By the end of the week it was even deeper and darker with less of a tart finish, more menthol, blueberry. Upgrade to a 90.
