Light coffee, earth, wood, dark fruit and mushrooms on the nose. Leather, pepper, red and black fruit on the very pretty, light and silky palate. Shorter, light finish but very pleasant.

Appearance: Clear, opaque ruby with paler rims and legs Nose: Clean, medium intensity and developing aromas of black cherry, blueberry, liquorice, smoke, oak, cream and plum. Palate: Dry with medium (-) acidity. Medium tannin showing a smooth and ripe texture. Medium alcohol and medium (+) body, with medium intensity flavors of black cherry, blueberry, cloves, smoke, violet and oak, showing refreshing ripeness and elegant harmony. Medium length. Conclusion: Acceptable quality St-Emilion with a fair intensity and length. A soft and smooth wine with an easy-to-drink style. If only the wine can be more complex (which should be achievable given more time for ageing) the wine be become a good quality GCC. Ready to drink now and can be further developed for another 5-7 years.

WFA Bordeaux 2005/2006 Tasting by the Wine Review (Suntec Convention Centre, Singapore): Another decently good, but not too inspiring wine. Nose showed sweet, maraschino cherries, some cigar smoke, a little savoury tone and a hint of metallic mineral. A little thin on the attack on the palate. Nice balance though, with fresh acidity and friendly tannins, along with some fruit, tons of wood spice and a little bitter, cigarette tone at the finish.

Forest floor and figs on the nose. Very opaque with purple tones. Still very tannic but the fruit is still up front.

Slightly more bitter than the last bottle. Still nice for the price.
