A wonderfully harmonious bottle. Huge cool-climate aromatics, perfectly balanced acidity, orange peel, black tea, cherrywood smoke, tea tree blossom, and fresh raspberry on the palate. Still very primary; this could have easily been a 2017. Finish could be longer, but otherwise outstanding. Drink or hold.

Sad to see this was my last of the '05 Cuvees. Wonderful from the top: expressive nose, long finish, harmonious flavors and tannins showing a well-structured wine. Huge QPR for Jim Schultze.

This bottle was wonderful and must be at its peak, contrasting with marinated/butterflied BBQ'd lamb. Nose still explosive. On the palate it was nicely resolved, with the tannins in the background and a long finish. Huge QPR.

Sadly, this was over the hill. Should have been consumed at least a year ago. I really thought that it would be longer lived.

CT Offline IV--Hill Country Edition; 5/18/2012-5/19/2012 (Austin / Texas Hill Country / Castleman Ranch): Spicy on the palate. Very similar to the 2003. Great fruit, blueberry, blackberry, and a bit of raspberry and strawberry on the palate. But not quite as acidic or tannic. Still a wonderful bottle of wine!
