Surprisingly alive, with just a tinge of nuttyness - oak mostly integrated and simple fruit profile. Blown out of the water by a basic $20 2002 Premiere Cru Chablis tasted side-by-side...

Better than the first bottle. A nose of predominantly vanilla with some citrus--mostly lemon rind. On the palate, a very vice moutfeel although not a lot of fruit. Long finish.

Deep yellow color. Floral (hibiscus?) notes with a hint of vanilla. On the palate, not too exciting at all. Improved a little as it warmed, but never got to the point of expectation.

Nice acidity. For a California, Oak drowned Chard, not too bad, but still -- killed by the Oak. However, for those who love that, it's a first rate wine. My wife loves those, I don't -- hence no score.
