Slight amber on the rims. Bouquet of ripe cherries, slate, mineral and red fruits. Incredibly perfumed and intoxicating. Palate showed bright red strawberries, cherries, some sous bois and slight liquorice with savoury-ness. Very silky and integrated on the palate with excellent balance and elegance. Lengthy finish and medium acidity. First encounter with Mugnier for me and yknow what they say about never forgetting your first! What an incredible treat.

Quite pale garnet-ish colour. Nose, omg, rose petals, cranberry and quite mineral with slight hint of meaty notes given its age. On palate the silky strawberry tastes are to die for. The chambolle coolness and the elegance of this wine are so gorgeous. It just lacks of maybe some weight on the palate and not long enough finish. Best red burgundy to me so far? Ready to drink but it may further develop for more complexity. 98-99 nose 95 palate

I’m sure the Musigny is better but this is close to perfect. This is what burgundy is all about, elegance and delicate fruit and kaleidoscope of a bouquet.

(Jacques-Frédéric Mugnier Chambolle-Musigny 1er Cru Les Fuées) Light medium red color with clear meniscus; tart red fruit, sous bois, strawberry, sweet smoke nose; tasty, tart red fruit, strawberry, mineral palate with great combination of delicacy and grip; medium-plus finish (poured blind, I guessed it was a 1er cru Chambolle-Musigny, but thought it was from '97 or '98 rather than '02)

So good! Very delicate and pretty, with plenty of Mugnier signature aromatics. Just a lovely and super elegant wine.

Drinking beautifully. Pale coloration. Lovely nose. Strawberries, raspberries and pure red fruit. Velvet feel. Very nice wine. Enjoyed immensely.
