Tasted by knops on 6/1/2008: A little rough, less fruit than previous bottles. (617 views)
Tasted by knops on 5/7/2008 & rated 89 points: Nice, fruit flavor. Looks like there is a ot of bottle variability. (655 views)
Tasted by knops on 4/24/2008 & rated 87 points: (547 views)
Tasted by knops on 4/9/2008 & rated 89 points: This is actually getting better. Nice berry flavor. (706 views)
Tasted by wahootaster on 3/1/2008 & rated 86 points: Transparent ruby color; dark fruit aromas (plums, blueberries), with touches of spice and licorice on the nose; jammy, jammy, jammy with almost invisible tannins; sweet finish - probably a little too sweet for me. (799 views)
Tasted by horwitzj on 2/10/2008 & rated 88 points: (708 views)
Tasted by knops on 1/22/2008 & rated 85 points: ok, a little sweet and simple. (876 views)
Tasted by apnetmedic on 12/31/2007 & rated 85 points: Nice table red, though I think I prefer the Menage a Trois for that -- at least it's not trying to be more elegant than it is. A little heavy on the zin spice without the thick jammy payoff I'm generally a fan of. Still, good alongside pasta with some kick. (949 views)
Tasted by Eric B on 12/4/2007 & rated 88 points: Slightly more blackberries & raisiny flavors than the #42 - which is not as much to my liking. Still not bad, no flaws. (1232 views)
 Tasted by duffer8008 on 11/22/2007 & rated 87 points: (886 views)
Tasted by raadams on 11/21/2007 & rated 88 points: (860 views)

Tasted by raadams on 9/24/2007 & rated 89 points: (992 views)
Tasted by oaxaca90049 on 9/21/2007: I also tried this about 5 years ago and remember thinking it was a pretty nice pop and pour. This is just like fruit pop with a strong artificial taste. Sweet and simple minded.I'll never buy this again. (1331 views)
Tasted by raadams on 9/19/2007 & rated 88 points: (991 views)
Tasted by raadams on 9/14/2007 & rated 89 points: (992 views)
Tasted by raadams on 9/6/2007 & rated 89 points: (1033 views)
Tasted by knops on 9/2/2007 & rated 83 points: The last one I had was around 6 years ago, and was substantially better. This one has nice fruit flavor, but the aftertast is a little sour and misses tannins in the middle. (1252 views)
Tasted by raadams on 8/27/2007 & rated 89 points: (1037 views)

About red wine
WineAmerica (National Association of American Wineries) | Free the Grapes!
California Wines (Wine Institute of California)

California is one of the most diverse wine regions in the world, with almost 100 grape varieties grown in almost 10 viticultural areas, including dozens of different microclimates and soil types, as well as a very individualistic set of winemakers, many with international experience, which adds to and deepens that diversity.
