Note: I use the recommended scale, so 85 represents a very good wine.
A bit from memory, but not quite as enjoyable as the bottle I had in 2015. As before, sweet, but not at all cloying. I have some 2005, and I will be drinking them straight away.

Dinner w/ Doug & Sena & Alex & David...Sadly, Rob Was There Too (Doug & Sena's): Grapes and raisins with hints of chocolate. Unsurprisingly, paired very well with chocolate cake. Not showing any heat. Tastes fairly primary, but I don't think it will develop much, if at all. Still, good for what it is, drink now - 2022.

Drank from .375. Deep Bordeaux red/brick red. Medium sweet with balancing acidity. Drying tannins after 30 minutes that add to complexity. Wonderful after dinner wine. Added 1/18/16- this half kept in fridge almost 3 months and still drinkable, especially with chocolate.

Drank over 2 days. Excellent bottle. Sweet but not cloying (as some have mentioned). Let's keep Banyuls "under the radar". Tell your friends it is terrible. :-)

(LA COUME Parce) Dr. Parce #2 Dear Friends, Ok, let’s try this again. So many of you were shut out of the 375ml's of this wine at the ”I’ve lost my mind price” that I went back and asked them for 750’s but I wasn’t sure if you would be willing to pay a regular discount price for a 750ml (after the very low price for a 375ml)... I’m going to say this in advance - this is a very small parcel (see paragraph above, the 750’s of this wine are a lot harder to find than something like 2001 Yquem - that is not hyperbole) - you may as well throw your hat in the ring as I can’t imagine a more thought provoking and individual bottle of dessert wine for a party at a price that is about as low as can be (a 750ml is almost like getting a magnum of dessert wine): PLEASE BE PATIENT WITH NIKI on the allocations - she will do her best 2004 Domaine du Mas Blanc (Dr. Parce) Banyuls Rimage “La Coume” (750ml) Thank you, Jon Rimmerman Garagiste Seattle, WA SOFR6660
(Dr. Parce (Mas Blanc) La COUME) Holiday Special #6 Dear Friends, No, this is not a joke - I’m just in a really giving mood this afternoon and feel like passing the good cheer around. Maybe it’s one of our best deals ever but I’m not going to quantify that as it gets old saying that over and over - it’s just an insane price on a perfectly stored parcel of dessert wine. As far as Banyuls is concerned, this is like getting a split of the best vintage Port or something like Rieussec for a bargain price. There’s a lot to be thankful for at this time of year (and all year for that matter) and there’s no better way than to give back to our customer base so here you go - one of the most unusual dessert wines you will ever taste for 80% off. This is not a cast off; this is the current release. This offer is only available to those currently on the email list (we cannot honor orders from new customers on this item): This parcel has perfect provenance. EXTREMELY LIMITED at this price Happy Holidays! Have a great weekend... 2004 Domaine du Mas Blanc (Dr. Parce) Banyuls Rimage “La Coume” (375ml) PLEASE BE PATIENT WITH NIKI ON THIS - she will do her best with allocations and she is already the most over-worked person in the wine trade (besides Pat, Tim, Sara, Melisa and everyone else of course)! As a matter of fact, I’m soliciting holiday gifts on her behalf from everyone - there’s no one that deserves it more. Please send her a special “thank you” for her incredible effort this year, even just a short email means a lot (you try juggling thousands of different personalities every day and 99.9% of the time coming out with glowing accolades from all parties - she is a true talent so let her know how much you appreciate her being there for you everyday. I know we couldn’t do this without her or without everyone else that churns the cogwheels at our little garage... Thank you, Jon Rimmerman Garagiste Seattle, WA SOFR3399
