Strong nose of sandalwood, leather, red fruits, forest, with a hint of sweet cherry and tobasco. Nice sweet palate, with some subtle earthy undertones, green herbs. A surprisingly delicious wines. Some nice tannins still. Nice long finish. Good acidity that leaves one wanting more. This should last a bit, but definitely pleasant drinking now
Medium garnet color. Fruit forward nose, plum and prune mostly, with vanilla, caramel and cinnamon. On arrival, low tannin and low acidity. The fruit is decent in the mouth; taste is a one-dimensional experience. Finishes short. Past its prime by a ways but drinkable. Guess ventured: 1990 Raymond Napa Cabernet. Tasted blind, from my brother's cellar.
