Perfectly preserved. Dark fruits, bit of tannic acidity. Plums, blackberry, currant. Floats across palate but so rich and concentrated...then acidity freshens the long finish. These are brilliant wines and perfect for grilled steaks or meaty entrees.

Erik's. Dark and brooding. Good tannins and heft; not cabernet or syrah-like, but that kind of body. Finally dawned on us: had to be Petite Sirah. Showed well.

Sarah's birth-year bottle. Drank well. low to Medium - intensity on the nose. brooding, inky - nice. Slightly Better than the 2013 Biale Zin we drank next to it.

WCC Petite Sirah Blind (Provence Restaurant, Albany, NY): [Double decanted around 8am.] Huge alcoholic nose. High alcohol in the mouth. Long, appealing finish, but hot. Hard to see where this is going. Is it OTH or just at an awkward stage? A lot to like, but too much alcohol. No votes for WOTN.
