  • Consistent with prior notes: Big fruit forward Oregon pinot noir designed for fans of a more rounded and full bodied styled PN. Shy on acidic structure this wouldn’t be one to lay down for any length of time. Drink up over the next few years.

  • Portland Wine Storage: pulling a few corks! (Portland Wine Storage): Leather, loam, pomegranate and forest floor are running the aroma show here. Flavors of white pepper, black cherry, earth and beams of wet rock fill the palate. Big ripe wine, yet remains elegant and purposeful. Good structured finish which lasted a full 45 seconds. This showed very well after the dark & dusky Archery Summit.
Still holding up well another 6 months later.

  • Lovely nose of earth, peat moss, pomegranate, slate, mushrooms and dark spicy fruit. The palate took of where the nose started with more black fruit, pomegranate, loamy soil, graphite, a web of structured well integrated tannins, fruit and lengthy finish. This wine is gorgeous, yet over the top as DS is known for. However, it is still elegant and ultra new world feminine with enough backbone to wow any masculine palate. Drink over the next 2-4 years.

  • Wow. the nose was forest floor, crimini mushrooms, morels and dark berries fully ripened on the vine from the hot summer sun. There was wonderful structural integrity with good tannins and acidity. Not a super silky wine, but smooth with a weighty mouthfeel. 2006 was a ripe year and Domaine Serene is not known for super restrained wines, but this wine had very nice balance and harmony. A delicious taste treat that garners kudos to the winemaker to crafted a round, ripe wine with restraint and a certain elegance.
