My premox record with Jadot 2002s has been pretty poor, so I was very pleased to see a beautiful light gold colour when this was poured. The nose however was quite muted and the palate hollow and short. With little acidity and obvious sweet oak, this was a pretty depressing rendition of Montrachet. I note that my previous bottle of the wine was spectacular, so hopefully this is a one-off dud, as I seem to have a few more.
Griotte-Chambertin Dinner (Graham Elliot - Chicago IL): Tasted double blind. While I wouldn't say this was "oxidized," it was clearly oxidizing, and a pale shadow of a couple of this same wine I had last year. Tonight it was still good, showing mature, ripe orchard fruit, but was about an "89 point" wine.
