Notes of strawberry and raspberry jam with some smoky steminess and white pepper. Quite elegant and pinot like and drinking beautifully now if you prefer something at the lighter end of the spectrum

This is close to right where you want it to be, with its crisp, yet seductive mouth feel, nose of black raspberries, kirsch, flowers and earth and sensuous, fresh, vigorous, dark red fruit finish.

This clearly needs more time, although I really liked the underlying material; Traditional in style, with some red and dark fruits, pepper and smoke, with an elegantly perfumed nose; With some more time, this has 93-95 pt potential

Saturday Fun at Domaine (Chicago, IL): Another old-styled syrah, with some purple fruit showing more prominently. The nose still strikes me as one of a very young wine -- this will need a lot of time to come together. When it does, it's going to be awesome. A bit of animale on the palate, this finishes a bit astringently, which does take a bit of the experience away.

(Domaine Georges Vernay Côte-Rôtie Blonde du Seigneur) Berry, boysenberry nose with a sense of sage; tasty, tart cherry and red fruit palate with herbes de Provence and sweet tannins; medium-plus finish 91+ pts.
