The 2006 Fonsalette is drinking beautifully, bursting from the glass with aromas of sweet raspberries and cherries mingled with vine smoke, orange rind, sun dried tomatoes and paraffin wax. Full-bodied, suave and seamless, this has really come into its own in the last few years, showing depth and intensity that wasn't apparent in its youth. In the end, it's emerging as one of the finest Fonsalettes of the decade.

Un beau cdr avec une belle fraicheur et on ressent bien l'écorce d'orange/pamplemousse de Reynaud. Un tres beau vin qui a subit la comparaison du rayas servi en même temps.

Pop and pour. Notes from 2 hrs open. Maybe a bit on the downslope by comparison to my last btl, or perhaps it's just that bc I am aware of the fact that prices for these wines have reached the stratosphere, I expect something more than I know they can deliver. Good, but... On the nose: blackberry, that rayas signature incense note, garrigue, gamey notes...a syrah/grenache tension. On the palate: ok acidity. brown sugar and some clear RS, bitter/medicinal herbs, good density. Maybe a bit flatter than I would like..an ok showing.

BYO Centropa (Centropa, Oslo, Norway): Ouch - her var det kork. Flott, rik og moden underliggende frukt, men korkpreget skjemmer.
