Continuing a little run of consuming aging Archery Summits before they croak on us. The first 2005 after a run of three 2004s. The characteristic is sharply different from the 2004s in that it is much softer and cherry fruit rather than the somewhat spicy/smoky of the 2004s. Does not seem to be in any kind of age crisis either; I could see a few more years out of this yet.

Matured beautifully! Will not benefit from any more time.

Dark cherries and soft strawberries over an earthy core. Finishes with with a little heat.

Very good, decanted and double poured before the subtle flavors of the wine showed. Long wait with pretty good results.
