Ap: Blackish purple Ar: Dark sweet forrest berries and oak Full-bodied and very concentrated with some sweetness. Lacking balance and the oak is still too present. Very good length
I would give it a few more years and hope for the oak to relax a little

No decant. Lovely fragrent nose, the palate was a little 'sweet' at first, but this soon settled down. The abundance of cassis was complimented by slight hints of chocolate and soft tannins. There was also a touch of mint on the finish which I like. Overall, I feel that Yalumba got this blend right. That said, from what I've heard, it'd be difficult to get anything wrong in Coonawarra from the spectacular 2004 vintage! Left a glass in the bottle to see how it evolves....
Day two... Wine had softened further and was drinking beautifully... Drink 2009-2012
