[Pop and pour. Cork crumbled.] Gold color seems right for a 22 year old. Gorgeous nose of peaches, pears, and apples. Balanced and complex in the mouth. What a love wine. Great with Chinese food (red snapper and veggies in a well-prepared sweet & sour sauce). Holding up quite well on day 2.

Fully mature, with peaches, pineapple, and orange notes. The best of the 2002 Dönnhoff Spätlesen I've tried recently, as this has decent tension on the finish. The Oberhäuser Brücke will be next.

PnP. Fully ripe fruit with a solid acid backbone. Well balanced, this works equally well for sipping and with food. Not overly complex, but showing nice maturity and supremely drinkable.

PnP, but opened somewhat in the glass, so give it a 15 minute slo-ox, or a quick decant. Intriguing nose of mandarin orange and honeysuckle. The medium bodied palate showed lots of mandarin orange, some minerality, a touch of pineapple, and only a vein of restrained sweetness. The acidity was nicely balancing, and there was a touch of orange pith on the finish. A very nicely aged Riesling Spatlese that probably has many years of enjoyment ahead.

(Donnhoff Schlossbockleheimer Kupfergrube Riesling Spatlese) Subtle nose of white flowers and a whiff of cherries. Outrageously complex palate with a beautiful viscous texture and a long meandering finish. The acid seems much more present than it did on release. It seems to have some of it's baby fat.
(Donnhoff Schlossbockleheimer Kupfregrube Spatlese) Dramatic nose of mashed nuts, kiwi, minerals, salt, white peach andcitrus. Very complex. Like concentrated and ripe lime juice on the palate with a hint of exotic orange citrus fruits with the famous as Mark Hanes calls it "the Donnhoff dissolve." Good, but not great. I was expecting more
