Noticeably green on opening but fortunately blew off after 10 minutes. Cherries, cranberry, Vosne spice. Good fruit with tangy acidity. It took an hour to balance out and as usual would have liked one more glass to see how much further it would have developed.

Casual Burg Dinner with Friends (The Bristol - Chicago IL): Fully mature red berry throughout with baking spice. Good weight and overall balance. Tasty now, at its peak. Not even close to the Drouhin 2002 Petits Monts served alongside.

I'd never even seen a Jadot Petits Monts before. Resolved light ruby. Takes a while, but eventually very pretty, floral red fruit and rose hips. Light weight, good acidity, essentially fully mature. This doesn't have the stuffing to make it great, but completely enjoyable. I am a bit surprised by how far along it is (and this is from the Nicolas cellars in Paris so storage is not the issue).

This is pretty seriously closed in on itself, and also surprisingly evolved--it's doing a pretty good impersonation of a 1996. What it reveals is a tight, high-acid fruit profile dominated by apples and undertones of cigar tobacco. And it's unclear whether this is in a temporary dumb phase or whether it will always be lean and unfriendly.
