  • Sur les noix et Assez oxydatif au nez, diminue un peu en l'aérant.
    En bouche, les noix reviennent avec un peu de miel et de fleur, intensité et longueur moyenne.
    ...à boire sans attendre, sur sa pente descendante.

  • À l'ouverture, une forte présence oxydative dominait, rancio... puis l'aération sur environ 2 heures l'a transformé et ouvert sur une toute autre dimension, plus complexe, plus élancée, plus intéressante.
    Nez sur des arômes de plus en plus confits, caramélisés, avec une très belle dimension saline et minérale, touche de miel, fleurs jaunes, de paille séchée, de carambole, et un je-ne-sais-quoi que nous avons beaucoup aimé.
    La bouche est plutôt grasse, acidité rafraîchissante+, amertume moyenne, persistance moyenne-longue, rétro fruitée, épicée, végétale, minérale
    Conclusion : encore très bon, après un bon coup d'aération. À boire jusqu'en 2016.

  • Thanksgiving Feast (San Francisco): Good pear fruit, reasonable acidity, dry as billed. Just a little fuzzy and lacking real concentration.

  • Wasn't sure what I would get when I opened this based on previous reviews but I fortunately got a great bottle. Very typical quince, honey, and ginger spice; moderately rich mouthfeel and a decent amount of acid although not at the levels I enjoy. I started this a little warmer than usual but as it chilled more in the fridge, I started to sense the "earthy" notes that have been described below but for me, it only added to rather than detracted from the wine; I would describe it as more of a white truffle note. There was ample fruit in this bottling but I do agree that it wasn't as pure as I like from Huet, but overall, a very solid wine from a difficult vintage.

    (Domaine Huet Vouvray Le Haut Lieu Sec) An incredibly perfumed nose here, this is in a very open and feminine place right now. It has just a light trace of minerality. On the palate, it is very soft and relaxed, and doesn't possess the structure I would have hoped for. I would like to taste this again before passing judgement, but on this tasting it seems rather inconsequential.
