  • Very interesting bottle, rated 89 point when open an re rated 3 times as the opened up. Cranberry, earth, cherry, pepper a little metallic in the mid-pallet that went away after 30 minutes. Nice balance and a beautiful cherry zing on the delicate finish. Very Burundian in style and since I brought a back up bottle just in case this was a great surprise!

  • Opened this for Grace's 7th Bday. This one is bright and lively...slight acidic tingle, and a little bretty stank to start the show. As it opens, the stank moves on to show fresh crushed raspberry, cherry, rhubarb fruit; RRV spice, dried tobacco, florals, green tea leaves, white truffle. Still a little out of whack, but nice flavors, and refreshing mouthfeel. Off Vintage wine, but great producer winemaking. With the high acidity....should last even more years.

  • My new friend thinks this wine is WOODSY and lots of oak!! Very dark brownish red. Nice legs and the nose was very strong. 89+

  • If you like bret it is defiantly a flavor profile in this wine. When first opened had a beautiful truffle, earth and cedar noise with huge blackberry, cassis and very vibrant. Was absolutely stunning than.... About 30minutes into the wine it completely lost the earth, fruit and became dry and one dimensional, it was like two different wines. I suggest drinking quickly when opened!
