Aromas of dried fruits including raisins, figs, a little fresh maraschino cherry, walnuts, baking spice, molasses, oxidised and maderised notes. Lovely nose. Medium plus intensity acidity but nowhere near as sharp as I remember this being before, flavour profile as per the nose, simply wonderful, a little textured burr, the acidity lends freshness. Lovely
Decanted two days before service. The bracing acidity that existed upon opening calmed down substantially by service time. The acidity was definitely there, but it was more in line with the residual sweetness that was hiding underneath. Not as dry as anticipated. More of a medium dry. Medium shiny brown color. Palate of nuts, caramel, burnt honey. This will live for decades.

Decanted (5) days and consumed over two (2) weeks. Medium amber in color. Aromas of dark sultana, fig and burnt caramel bound from the glass and fill the room. Agile on the palate w/razor sharp acidity that rewards with exceedingly long finish. Intoxicating in a word. Should drink well for decades.

Festival of Phil (Phil's place, Putney, Sydney): From Coravin. Aromas of figs, walnuts, baking spice, molasses, a little red cherry...Medium plus intensity acidity, drying tannins, a little sour, similar flavour profile to the nose but it's all a bit sharp and pointy. Yum nose, palate less so...
