Sigh. I've kept this bottle for 7 years, and absolutely love the 2005 vintage. I would have rated it a 94 because it is an absolutely great wine....except for the brettanomyces. I can't stand barnyard, which is another reason why I hate pinots.
Hestan proudly states on the back on the bottle they don't filter or fine. Well, I highly recommend a 0.65uM filter. That would get rid of the brett.

Rich red/black fruit, with just a touch of sweetness. Balanced by some underlying savory flavors and a good acid and tannin structure. Moderate, well integrated, oak and no sense of heat. Overall a nice example of a fruit forward style of Cab. Should have several more good years left.

Espresso, cocoa, leather, black currant, dark plum, blackberry jam and tobacco on the nose. WOW. Velvety, dry, plush, black fruit, layered with big tannins and lingers all the way down with a touch of spice. This is how we roll!!!
