Sunday Brown Bag Tasting: Lytton Springs Zinfandel vertical (C's): Faded ruby core with a good bit of bricking. A bit reticent at first; clay, red fruit and tea notes emerge. High acid and somewhat austere with not much fruit. Decent length to the finish, surprisingly, with red fruit notes.

Old note from 1990 19/20 Very deep center, but rim shows signs of maturity. noticeable high alcohol content. very generous red berry fruit. followed by peppery, smoky, licorice like aromas. Great complexity, almost opulent. approaching maturity
