  I was amazed that this was still OK taken the vintage into consideration. However it did a fine job. Age was clearly showing. Not much fruit left on the palate. OK balance. Short finish.

  Has kind of light, reticent nose - with slate the most prominent note. Overall, solid but slightly austere Pomerol; not voluptuous at all, with a tangy acidity. Slate shows on palate as well. Not super pleasing. Shows the weakness of the vintage. Decent, has some prettiness to the nose, but not worth the $40 closeout price to me. Too many other choices out there for better Bordeaux out there.
