  • Consistent with my prior bottle, if a little more tertiary at this point. In its preferred plateau, with a medium-bodied frame, and some peppercorn mixed with red and dark red berries; the soil notes on this are just lovely, and seem to gain intensity each 15 minutes after opening (I'd aerated this for 3 hours, and removed the sediment prior to service). A traditional joy that tips its hat at fine claret from the left bank. Drink now thru 2027. 13,5% abv. recommended

  • This Toscana has become the "very very elegant and balanced wine" that BAARTMAN anticipated in 2007. The herbal spices noted earlier are now in a sweeter, nutmeg register, and overshadow the not-so-much, dark, berry fruit. Tannins subtle and precise, not at all worn down, and well-balanced with moderate, still-fresh acid. Cellared at 56F since purchase at release.

  • This IGT was a really nice bottle of Tuscany:-) it had a concentrated nose with a lot of smoke and cigarbox nose almost like an old Bordeaux! The fruit was still in good condition and bark ripe berries was primary her! On the palet the smoked play kept its intensity and this along with the core fruit and some super fine tannins was really nice. The Finish was smooth and really nice, almost a bit to pleasant but still that’s not being fair because this was a really great wine and once again the age helps Tuscany wines so much:-) I am looking forward to visiting Monsanto this summer!

  • Wonderful and slightly more aged than the last one. Incredible with food and still has time left if you like a more mature/aged style.

  • This stuff is singing right now. Beautiful rich cab attributes with a slightly Italian twist on the finish. Had with tuscan pork roast - WOW!
