bottle and cork in good shape - dark ruby with brick-tinged rim - simple mature red tempranillo fruit nose without a lot of added complexity - previously described "scorched" nose now has matured to a more agreeable smokey quality - forward red fruit in the mouth - nicely balanced with good acidity and a medium finish -very enjoyable drinking, and particularly good with grilled lamb

Raspberry, earth, roasted herb, spice on the somewhat charred nose. Still tight and tannic on the palate. Intense spicy red Grenache fruit and minerals on the palate, I wouldn't guess Tempranillo here. I like the concentration and verve here but the scorched character kind of holds it back. Pretty good.

Just entering maturity -- some forest floor, truffle and blood mingle with red and black fruits. Scorched earth, smokey spices (cinnamon, nutmeg, vanilla) intermingle with cedar as the oak blends in. Impressive palate presence. Lengthy finish with a touch of drying tannin remaining. Drink over the next 5 years or so, a small bit of upside still possible, but very nice now.

Not decanted, just splashed into decanter and then returned to bottle for restaurant trip. Very dark purple and rich. would have benefitted from more time in air. probably higher potential than score reflects.

Holding up nicely! intense nose with hints of Smokey oak. Preserved strawberries and raspberries and dried herbs. Pair with red meat.
