This is quite a pure late harvest Sémillon from a grower in Australia that is really quite traditional for the style. It's not trying to be anything else, just lots of rich stone and tropical fruits with a lovely, viscous texture. It does lack a bit of acidity but is certainly a pleasant wine that's easily enjoyable. Considering the price paid (just under $8) it a very good-value, well-made wine … and has held up pretty well for 8 years of age.
