  • A Foillard Thanksgiving (Home): Full yellow. Lightly floral nose. Dry, light to medium weight, grapefruit and tremendous acidity. In superb shape for its age. Very subtle, very Trimbach. My only quibble was some mid-palate dilution, but an excellent showing for an almost 20 year old Gewurztraminer. The intense varietal character has been mitigated by 2 decades in the bottle.

  • Has flora, spice and apple cider aromas. Bright amber color, slight RS and not as much acidity as I would have liked, but my fault for holding this wine for so many years. Very viscous on palate. More cinnamon taste almost as chewing on a cstick with some astringency.

  • Farge: Gylden
Duft: Klassisk GW nese; lichée, ferskenstein, rosevann, litt fet, lite hint av petroleumsfirne. Moden, uten å bli utflytende og søtladen duft. Mer duft etter en times lufting.
Smak: Moden, men fortsatt fokusert, steinfrukt, oljete, litt restsødme.
Konklusjon: Utrolig bra kondisjon for en 15 år gammel halvflaske med GW. Fortsatt på høyden.
