It had a pleasant bouquet of black cherry, clove, spice and vanilla. The palate had good tannic structure and balance but was very simple with flavors of cherry, spice and vanilla. After a couple of hours in the glass, the vanilla became started to really dominate.

Ruby colour with a slight browness. Subdued nose - a bit of clove, sour cherry and spice. Similar in mouth - cloves, cinnamon and a little bit of cherry. Sweet oak. Dusty tannins. Medium to long. Nice.

Dark, extracted, gritty tannins, little sublty, tons of body. Not my favorite profile. I'm feeling like I have too many bottles of this put away, but I'd pull out another bottle to pair with hot grilled sausages or charred steaks. Last night's bottle was assigned coq au vin duty.

Dark jammy. Loved it. Needed some cheese to cut the tannins.
