I know that most people consider Argentinian Malbec to be the rage, but the variety hails from the Southwest of France. My first two bottles of this wine were solid, but this last one was a notch above--good fruit that was not at all stewed, with fine balance and a lasting finish. Very Good to Outstanding. thedrunkencyclist.com

I have had this for a while and never really knew when to pop it. Finally, with a bit of sausage pasta, I decided to pop this one. Austere is a good word, as is "old world" or "food wine". Really, this is right down my alley--not a blockbuster, not an earth-shatterer, but a wonderful wine. Very Good. thedrunkencyclist.com

Popped and poured. This took a while to come around (decant the next one). Some fruit on the front and a big backbone which eventually mellowed some. Once the food was introduced, this became a different animal--very good to outstanding.
