  • Super effort; creme brulee flavors with golden raisins; viscous and thick but nicely cut with acidity; a great domestic Sauterne

  • Used to make sauce for seared foie Gras. Had to have a glass too. :) Imagine taking a new shower curtain out of the package. That was the nose. The palate had some plastic elements but great acidic structure with plenty of superripe tropical fruit, honey, and creme brulee to balance. Nice wine.

  • Of the 4-5 bottles of this wine that I have had, this is by far the best one yet. The color has evolved to a dark straw. This nose shows botrytis, honeysuckle, caramel, and honey. I also the nose extremely defined and pure. I often have found this wine's nose a touch muddled but not in this bottle. The palate follows the nose well with a deep lushness and tastes of honey candy, bananas, and other tropical fruit. Balancing all of this sugar is a strong, pleasant acidity. This is simply a great way to end the evening.

  • Tasted at home with Jason. This wine is a dessert unto itself. The nose is bursting with banana, caramel and botrytis. On the palate this is thick with impressive viscocity. The wine is graced with loads of banana, lush, sweet and explosive. On the finish this shows mouth-watering acidity that keeps it from being cloying and clumsy. Very nice, thanks Jason!
