  • 100% sangiovese grosso from just south of the Montalcino commune. Matured in steel tank. Big and wide open nose with cherries, cassis, blueberries, plums and dried fruit. Hints of smoked sausage, herbs and juniper. Really generous and enjoyable on the palate, with rich ripe berry fruit, viscous and warm. Nice intensity of sweet maraschino. Much better than Lisini's 2005 Rosso, and well worth the $19. Drink now with pasta, tuscan sausages, or simply on its own.
