Some bricking to the color. With a few hours of air, this shows full of juicy red strawberry fruit with nice background hits of flowers and cinnamon and a nice savory quality. The tannins have mostly resolved to pure silk, this is the essence of elegance but there's enough oomph to leave a lasting finish. Lovely CA pinot, and only a slight edge of sucrosite to the fruit gives this away as from CA; otherwise this could easily be a good Chambolle Charmes from a ripe year. At peak, I think.

PnP. Drunk with a 98 One Acre at RN74 in SF. Medium red with a slight browning on the edge. Lovely nose of red fruits, touch of orange rind. Long finish of medium weight flavors. This was less complex than the One Acre which was all about spices and minerals but that faded as the evening went on and the Summa continued to shine. Will continue to drink well for a few years based on this bottle but why wait?

Still drinking really well. Went perfectly with lamb in a saffron sauce.

A bad cork here, this is volatile and dark and spicy, not like this wine should be.

Still youthful with hints of secondary notes peaking through. Really good stuff.
