Tuscany WIMPS 2023 (La Trompette): This was superb mature Brunello. Gorgeously perfumed nose of Italian leather, dried cherry and plum. On the palate there is wonderful depth with sweet cherry, dark plum, chocolate and pomegranate. Long long finish. Really stand out but drinking at point now.

My last bottle and the 7th time I have had this wine. Decanted 3 hours before drinking. Brick red color. Heavily sedimented. This was one of the standouts of the lineup for me. Aromas of lavender. Notes of beef blood and black currants. Smooth and integrated with a well rounded finish. 95 points.

Spain and Italy at Estelle (Estelle, St. Paul, MN): Deep dark garnet color with 6mm bricked transitional edge. PNP, drank a glass plus over an hour plus. This really has an alluring and incredibly complex nose with leather, mushroom, black licorice, dried cherries, black currants, menthol, roasted meats, and a hint of fresh cut wood. The palate is suave with satiny tannins that still have plenty of mileage left; there's an array of darker fruits including plum, black cherry, blackberry and black currants, loam, grainy minerality and crushed rocks, licorice, mushroom, and leather. that all translate into a thought provoking experience. Wish I had a couple more of these to follow. Fantastic. 94+(+?)pts.

bought few months ago from catawiki and it seems that bottle has not been stored well. Seems to have been exposed to heat. :-(
