(La Massa Giorgio Primo) Very dark red violet color; nice ripe plum, green herb, mint nose; tight, flavorful, plum, red berry, mint, green herb palate with grip; medium-plus finish 91+ pts. (needs 5-plus years; 85% Sangiovese, 15% Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon)

in Magnum. P&P. opulent nose, cherry, dark series, coffee, sweet. the palate is round, sweet (a bit too much?) very easy going. it is balanced nonetheless, with enough acidity that keeps the wine from falling on the flabby side. not overly complex but enjoyable. drink or hold for a few year.

Rich and leathery with mature stewed cherries and plums. Beautifully layered with character, poise, and energy. Reminds me of why I love wine.
