Deep ruby with a small garnet rim. A nose of dark blue fruits with a lovely freshness. (Mint?) The palate still has plenty of ripe juicy fruit with a compelling savory note. Medium plus acidity makes this great with food. (Served with Bison bolognese) These wine are built to age. Stiil plenty of life left. Last bottle.

4th Saturday Brown Bagger (EBCC): Blind. Dusty red color with slight bricking. Aromas of leather, plum, soy and black currants. Plush, with flavors of dark fruit and leather. Balanced, with a long finish. Delightful, and my favorite in the flight. 93+ pts.
This had been double decanted off its sediment 90 minutes before the flight was poured.

Dense and weighty, velvety and polished with blue red and black fruits. Some wood tannins remain but most of the oak effect has faded, which is just what the 2016 Guado Al Tasso needed.

Beautiful black cherry fruit and great acidity. 20 minutes of air allows the nose to open and bring in some Italian dirt. After 40-45 minutes the mid-palate starts to really show through and extend the length of the finish.
