  Tobacco and some acid on the finish. But good strong finish, still good.

  Dark blackish red, paling edges. Fairly large bq w smoke, tobacco, oak, spices, red and black currants. Medium body with prominent acidity, sandy tannins, fruity middle w red currants. Medium aftertaste w good balance. Probably at its peak now.

  Elegant, charming, soft, refined, medium bodied and fully ready ready to go. The wine offers a sweet, fresh, smoky, spicy, red fruit character. Popped and poured, was all it needed.

  Benefitted from an hour of aeration. Plum, cassis, bacon, smoke, and coffee. Medium bodied on the palate. A bit high acidity on the finish. I much prefer the 2000 Larrivet Haut-Brion, but this still drinks quite well.
