Intoxicating, honey-vanilla nose, caramel apple, white flowers, lanolin, beach sand, ans salty on the nose. On the palate, the wine is dry, very mineral, with phenolic grip and a taut texture. Very mineral driven, firm but balanced acidity, bright and orange rind/floral on the finish. Very good quality. A captivating wine.

Curious nose of quince and yellow apple with an odd petroleum note. Very bright minerality. Lots of fresh florals on the palate. Like drinking iced chrysanthemum tea. Nice acidity, but keeps leaning towards being too sour. It detracts from enjoying it well. - Tasted at Marché Bacchus 6/26/10

Dark, oxidized (urine) color. Aromas: honey, musk, banana nut bread, rum, sherry (?). Liqueur-like, smells like a dessert wine. Rich flavor, but not sweet. Rich mouth feel, weightless, clean mineral finish. Delayed mouth-watering quality on finish, an interesting sensation as acidity is not obvious on front end. Shows some oxidation & volatility. Fun wine, unique. Decant if possible.

Consumed over two nights-- consistent impressions both nights. Nose of honeysuckle/dried honey, hint of funk/scotch; palate of quince, minerals, gentle scotch-like undercurrent, acidity, long finish. Reminds me of young Cruchet Vouvray. Likely much better integration in 5 years. Great QPR $16.

(Domaine Jo Pithon Anjou Les Pepinieres) Light yellow color; apple cider vinegar, floral nose; lightly oily textured, very tart apple, mineral, tart lemon palate with medium-plus acidity; medium finish

Encore excellent. Pommes et notes mellifères. Texture agréable/glycérinée. Personne n'a trouvé le Chenin!
