Greek Wines; 5/1/2008-6/30/2008: Light colour. Plums and pollen on the nose with some rust and blood. Dusty tannins, slightly rusty edge. Pinot-like attenuated fruit with mossy elements. Nice persistence with a mineral edge, wood mushroom and Brie-rind textures. Just yum-tastic and really rang my bell.

Picked this up as I was looking for something out of the ordinary. Happy I chose it. Light bodied tart cherry fruit on palate, with a very long finish for a wine in this price class; although somewhat bitter currant lingering. I'd buy it again for sure.

13% This is a blend of Limnio and Cabernet Sauvignon which undergo a 6-8 day maceration. After alcoholic and malolactic fermentation, the wine is aged in new French oak for a year. It has that odd mature colour that so many of these Greek reds seem to have. It has light juicy fruit on the palate and a very clean finish. Very Good/Very Good Indeed.
