Had this with their Morey St Denis 2005. First 90 minutes, this showed very little. 2nd 90 minutes showed too much wood. After 3 hours in decanter, it developed a compelling nose which kept me coming back for refills. Texture was always very silky, but the nose and palate took time. I will wait for many years on the others in my cellar.
Really quite remarkable for a village wine. Beautiful cherry and cranberry nose and on palate with noticeable earthiness, good acidity and structural tannins that say give this more time either in the cellar or decanter. This is simply a great value and drinks far beyond its pedigree. Next bottle in 6 months. Glad I have 7 more.
