This was in such beautiful condition. The first sniff reveals some lavender and apricot (botrytis?). There's plenty of smoky mineral too. It is so fresh in the mouth, with barely a hint of toast and mushroom development. There a suggestion of citrus and the wine is complex and engaging. The finish has so much salty iodine and is long.

Very hard to read this one. At times, delicious, classic profile of shells, lemon, and exciting tension; at times, a bit dumber and soft. Would drink these now, no real upside, but still showing well, most of the time.

A little nervous on first pour as it was yellow ,verging on gold color. But still alive and actually gets fresher with air. Fine older Chablis lobster broth minerals, lemon oil, and even a smoky note as it opens. Started soft in the mouth but finishes with brisk acidity. Really good with a grilled steelhead, and also fabulous with a cheese course. My favorite match was Cypress Grove 'Midnight Moon' 1 yr old goat cheese which had a nutty caramel flavor that matched the Chablis with flair. Drink soon(er).

Good now but doesn't look like there's much upside.

Good chablis and might improve with age, but nothing special at this point. It really paled in comparison to the 1996.
