Fresh nose of cherry, cranberry cobbler, baking spice, candied orange peel, turned, wet earth, and a hint of dark chocolate. Full-bodied but lifted by acidity. Lovely, mature wine. Drink now. Will not improve.

Decanted about an hour. Deep and darkly colored to the thin clear rim. Dusty black cherry, dark plum and Asian spice aromas lead to a rich, viscous mouthful of opulent black fruit flavors that a full bodied and a touch warm. There is still some structure, low acidity and a generous finish. This delicious wine should be enjoyed soon. Drink now through 2014.

Three 2006 Very Nice Oregon Pinots; 4/21/2012-4/23/2012: Decanted 1 hour. Deeply colored with a clear rim. The aromas leap from the glass with sweet and exotic spices, black cherry skin and some garden soil. The flavors are deep, dark but vibrant with black pit fruit and a hint of chocolate, cola and sweet berry liqueur. All the components are in harmony and the finish is very long and a touch warm. Serve on the cool side now through 2015. A real sexy and delicious bottle!

PNP, Day 1, 1.5 hours open. Dark red to purple in color. Nose of black cherry, forest loam, mushroom, a little mossy tree bark, spice. Palate of black cherry, plum, a little loam, baking spices. Finish is average and this feels rather "fat" as most 06's are for my palate. Decent bottle, could be a little more complex though. Drink. 50+5+11+16+7
