Cellaraid Discovery Box; 5/19/2017-5/26/2021 (Delivered to Home): Deep gold with slight copper hue, thick legs and fair brightness. Intense nose with honeyed aromas, with a hint of sweet spices. Sure evidence of residual sugars, that is past the off-dry stage and approaching medium sweetness, medium acids, and full waxy body, with ripe red apples, and honeycomb flavours, as well as cloves and cinnamon. Finish was medium length at best, and rather simplistic

Golden amber in glass. Lifted effusive nose of late apricots and ripe stone fruit. marmalade, orange flower, dried figs and orange bitters. Rich, unctious, honey and orange glaze, oily, bright tight acidity balanced with residual sugar and impressions of green tea. Finish is long with mandarin peel bitter and grapefruit bitter, and dusty white flowers. Certainly developed at 16 years with cereal and more chewy development. last bottle.

Still great - amazing for a 15 year old gewurz from New Zealand. Who would guess. If you like gewurz, you will really like this wine. Classic bouquet and flavors, off-dry, intense and flavorful. Wonderful with Indian curry. Yummy.

(Vinoptima Gewürztraminer Reserve) Light medium golden color; lifted, tart apple, ripe pear nose; juicy, applesauce, baked apple palate; medium-plus finish
(ORMOND Vinoptima Gewurztraminer Reserve) Gew Dear Friends, We offered this wine last spring and it sold out so quickly (if I remember, in less than an hour) I never had the pleasure of tasting it. I've been trying to acquire a second parcel since then and the persistence finally paid off this morning. I'm still not going to be able to taste it (my guess is that this parcel will sell out just as fast as the first) but here you go - with a few other opinions. If it matters, this is just about the highest rated white wine (non dessert) ever to come out of New Zealand... Steven Spurrier - Decanter: "Best New World White" This parcel is set to arrive in a few weeks at about the same price as in New Zealand - it will ship during the upcoming Fall shipping season. ONE SHIPMENT ONLY at this tariff: 2004 Vinoptima Gewurztraminer "Ormond" Reserve (New Zealand) 750ml(GT97) Thank you, Jon Rimmerman Garagiste Seattle, WA NZ9990

I'm in the 92-93 crowd. Others 2020 tasting notes nailed it. Drank well for 3 days. One of the best surprises of 2020? Yes!

Startlingly good wine. Complexity, texture, and balance. So many things.
