Garnet red; nose of strawberry compote- cooked fruit; very sweet, easily a "late harvest zin" as was the style back when; subtle petulance on the palate; sugary finish. Not a wine I expected from JS. 16%alc does show that high octane wine is not really a new phenomenon. There should have been a warning on the label..
