This was a surprise, I was definitel not expecting much, it was not the greatest year and also a year that was drinking early so worried it would be worst than past its prime but not even enjoyable. The nose was actually still quite pleasant and showed some typical structure. On the palate it was not as nice as the nose would have led you to believe with a dry feeling staying in your mouth. Still a pleasant drink, I would definitely advise to drink it now or soon, clearly not getting any better, surprised it lasted so well. It was my only bottle, glad I drunk it.

1987 Bordeaux Tasting (Lafayette, Ca.): Tasting 8 1987 Bordeaux with Andre Fournier at Primas. Cedar and leather on the nose and in the mouth but intensity is lacking due to the large amount of merlot blended in, veggie in the mouth.
