This wine was a tough one to figure out. This one fell in between the previous two bottles. No real oxidation to speak of, but the fruit I found in the last bottle was certainly lacking in this one. Pretty fat and the acidity was having difficulty keeping up. For $7? Not bad. For $15? Pass.

This was much more like it. Still had a golden hue (though perhaps not as profound) and the oxidation notes on the nose were virtually non-existent. Still plenty of honey, though, which really came through on the palate. An unctuous, velvety mouthfeel. Very enjoyable. While writing this, it occurred to me that it could all be about temperature here. This one had been in the fridge for a full day before popping.

Golden color. Initially, was not quite cold enough. It gave off a bit of oxidation and honey on the nose. On the palate, a bit odd with the honey really coming through (no residual sugar, though). Plopped it back in the fridge for a spell and it became much more approachable (and I was quite a bit 'thirstier'). No great shakes here, but I paid $7, so what do you expect? Drink in the short term. real short term. Like today.

Not bad. Nice nose with spicy peachy apricots and minerals. Remembered me of a viognier. Med body, rather fat with low to med acidity, some hint of orange skin. Rather simple but enjoyable. Overpriced for what it is though.
