Decanted for two hours before consumption. Slightly boozy on both the nose and palate but not in an objectionable way. However, I will concede that it's not optimal and have had more seamless ports recently like the 70 Taylor. The spirited flavors are mingled with dried and stewed fruit flavors. This was just okay.

Vintage Port 1980 (Portvinsklubben 1981): Very smooth and pleasant to drink with plenty of dark plum fruit left. Everything is in harmony and really nice to drink. Lovely bottle.

Very restrained nose. Wine itself looks and seems youthful, but lacks substantial tannic grip. Nicely avoids being cloying. Lacking interest... but very pleasant.

Very crumbly cork, but no signs of seepage.
poured into decanter, and thought it looked very thin, and was expecting more tawny character based on appearance.
Faint fruit, with some fig and raisin overtones. Some mild heat from the alcohol.
Somewhere between pleasant and adequate.
Had more the next morning, tastes even thinner.
Not sure if bottle was flawed, I had had it for 25 years, stored appropriately, but I would say the drinking window 0f '07-'10 was probably accurate.
do not see this improving.
