Bought off auction, aligns of slight seepage, cork intact but completely stained. Decanted off sediment, followed over several hours. Some funk blew off quickly, leaving behind a classic Cali cab, delicate nose, matching the palate of earthy red fruit, black currant, bit of cedar, sois bois, if just a bit stewed. Not bad, but I hope my other bottle might show fresher with better storage. 12.5% ABV. 96% Cab, 4% Merlot, off 10 year old estate vines.

Medium red-garnet color, with modest bricking. Complex nose of olives, spearmint, prune, dill. Low tannin, low acidity. Ripe plummy fruit and resolved structure make first impressions, with some quieter herbal notes adding interest in the finish. Drinking well. Bottle #4 of four.

Fully resolved tanins, velvety long finish, complex with modest nose. Delightful. Drink now.

Suprisingly okay for a 15 year old cab not meant for laying down.
