  • PnP that needed some thirty minutes to fully open and then it was off to the races. Still good freshness considering the age. While fully delicious and full of complexity, it's beginning to show slight signs of a slow decline, so I'd be drinking any remaining bottles sooner than later. This is always a treat, and I always tip my hat to such a talented, beautiful human being that was the late Laurence.

  • Opened and consumed over three days, over which time it changed considerably. On Day 1, lots of petrol on both nose and palate, with peach, apricot, stones. Surprisingly quite dry; very little appreciation of sugar. On Day 2, petrol diminishing quite a bit, fuller, still dry, green apple joining the stone fruits. Day 3, petrol now gone, some bread-like element coming to join the green apple, stone fruits, and stoniness. Good acidity throughout this time, this is perhaps in early middle age and well-stored examples can go much longer.

  • I have been drinking this wine since 2016 and clearly a difference in quality - the wine this time has clearly lost balance and from a solid 93 last time I am going to a small 92 - the was to much sugar - still ripe pear, apricot, apple and honey- medium acidity clearly not as pleased here as I was with the last bottles I had.

  • I am staying at 93 - the wine is getting more mature - you are getting apple, ripe pear, apricot and a lot of honey - the wine is showing a very nice balance. Really close to 94.

  • The wine is really drinking well - we are happy to go to very solid 93 - you get a large petroleum nose - and also on the palette - a couple of years ago we got a lot of sugar - this is clearly done - and now acidity has taken much more over - which clearly helps the wine and gives a better balance - we are still getting apple, rip pear also clearly honey - finishing up with grapefruit. We really think the wine is drinking well and was actually discussing 94. A really great wine.
